Motor Racing
Racing is in our DNA
Motor racing is in MOTUM’s DNA. Our team has a combined four decades of engineering and management experience in professional motor sport and high-performance road car development.
Simulated real world motor racing
With a particular expertise in vehicle dynamics, Motum’s True Motion® technology delivers the closest simulated experience to the real world of motor racing.
Motum’s systems have been used by leading Supercar teams including Walkinshaw Andretti United, 888 Race Engineering, FPR and numerous GT and Carrera Cup and Formula teams.
Software independent
For the driver:
Interfacing seamlessly with the most popular sim race titles, iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista, Project CARS, out systems are configured to provide the ultimate real-world experience for both driver development, coaching and practice.
For the Engineer:
Interfacing with leading OE automotive and professional race industry titles such as VI Grade, Motum’s True Motion® technology provides the ultimate tool for the design, development, and race engineers. End users can even import their own vehicle and track models and tailor telemetry and data analysis to match their real-world applications.
Compatible with various data logging and analysis software, delivering objective assessment of driver performance.
Motion Profiles Tailored to suit
The True Motion® profile can be fully calibrated by the end user to their own requirements. Subtle but critical motion cues such as multiple centres of rotation in all axes delivers the most realistic feel to the driver, such as:
- Yaw centres tailored to the exact specification of the vehicle, relative to the driver’s position in the car.
- Vehicle roll centred about the vehicle’s roll axis, while a mid-corner kerb strike is centred about the outside tyre contact patch.
Ideal training applications include driver coaching and practice for any circumstances, circuit familiarisation as well as vehicle development.
